About the Role
As a Traveling Project Manager - Self Perform (AFG) with J.E. Dunn Construction Company, you will take ownership of self-perform projects from preconstruction through closeout. This full-time, travel-intensive position is anchored in Norfolk, Norfolk City, with assignments that may span multiple regions, giving you broad exposure to diverse project environments and teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct the planning, scheduling, and day-to-day execution of self-perform construction projects.
- Coordinate field crews, subcontractors, and suppliers to keep work on schedule and within scope.
- Monitor budgets, track costs, and manage project financials to protect profitability.
- Champion safety and quality standards on every jobsite, ensuring full regulatory compliance.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, design partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Travel to project locations as required to provide on-site leadership and oversight.
Qualifications
- Proven experience managing construction projects, ideally within a self-perform setting.
- Strong command of project scheduling, budgeting, and cost-control practices.
