About the Role
We are seeking aBackend Developerwith strongexpertiseinNode.js (Express)to lead backend development effortsofone ofour Australianclients.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, andmaintainscalable REST APIs using Express (Node.js)
- Build backend services usingTypeScript or JavaScript
- Work withNoSQL databases (MongoDB, Google Cloud, etc.)andSQL databaseswhererequired
- Optimizebackend systems forperformance, scalability, and reliability
- Collaborate with frontend teams to ensure seamless integration
- Contribute to architectural decisions and backend best practices
- Engage directly with clients, providing updates and technical insights
Requirements
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience withNode.js and Express
- ProficiencyinTypeScript or JavaScript
- Hands-on experience withNoSQL databases (MongoDB, Google Cloud, etc.)
- Working knowledge ofSQL databases
- Strong experience building and consumingREST APIs
- Exposure toGraphQLis a plus
- Experience insystem design and scalable architecture
- Strong experience with secure coding practices andsecurity best practices
- ExperienceworkingwithCloud function(Good to have)
- Understanding ofAgile/Scrum methodologies
Leadership:
- Proven experience in aclient-facing role
- Ability tolead backend initiatives and guide technical decisions
- Strong communicationandcollaboration skill
