About the Role
As a Yield Engineer at Teledyne Technologies in Goleta, you will focus on maximizing manufacturing output and product quality across high-reliability product lines. You'll partner with engineering, operations, and quality teams to identify the root causes of yield loss and drive sustainable corrective actions in a fast-paced, technology-forward environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor production yield data and analyze trends to pinpoint sources of variation and defects.
- Lead root-cause investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions to improve yield.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with design, process, test, and quality engineering teams.
- Develop and refine statistical methods and reporting tools to track yield performance over time.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance product reliability and reduce scrap.
- Document findings, present recommendations, and help standardize best practices on the production floor.
Qualifications
- Background in engineering, manufacturing, or a related technical discipline relevant to yield analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with comfort interpreting production and test data.
- Familiarity with statistical analysis, root-cause methodologies, and process improvement principles.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to work on-site full-time in Goleta, Santa Barbara County.
