Our Partners
We work closely with many leading organisations like yours to place our students at the heart of the events industry, and we hope you’ll want to be part of the programme this year. As you know, we also highlight outstanding partners in our annualTop 3 Places to Work in the Events Industry, and it’s always a pleasure to showcase companies that create meaningful opportunities for emerging talent.

Benefits of Work Placements

All students come to us having either completed a degree or having previous relevant work experience, and are now dedicated to launching a career in the event industry. Work placements form a vital part of our students’ studies and follow directly after their classroom-based training. We not only train students to be competent at designing and managing events, but also in the all-important soft skills such as a strong work ethic, teamwork, and resilience. When they complete their classroom studies, they are keen to put all they have learnt into practice within organisations like yours. (Please see our brochure on ourwebsiteto get an idea of what is covered in their course.)

Costs

Students understand that their placement forms part of their accredited programme and may not always be salaried. However, to support fair and inclusive access to work experience, we encourage host organisations to offer payment wherever possible. In line with UK guidance on work experience and internships, we recommend providing at least a real living wage to reflect the meaningful contribution students make and to help them meet essential living and travel costs.

Remote placements are also possible, provided students receive clear supervision, structured tasks and regular check‑ins. The same payment guidance applies, though remote roles can reduce financial barriers for both sides.

Where a full salary isn’t feasible, many organisations choose to contribute towards travel, meals or other essential expenses, and we welcome any measures that help ensure students can participate fully and equitably in their three‑month placement.
