Valley Queen Cheese Factory is hiring a full-time Whey Production team member at its facility in Louisburg, Lac qui Parle County — a hands-on manufacturing role at the heart of a well-established dairy ingredient operation.

About the Role

As part of the Whey Production team, you'll be working directly with processing equipment in a modern, food-grade manufacturing environment. This position is central to turning raw whey streams into finished, high-quality whey ingredients that meet strict food safety and quality standards. You'll be expected to work independently and as part of a crew to keep production running smoothly and efficiently.

What You'll Do

• Operate and monitor whey processing equipment throughout your shift, making adjustments to maintain target output and product quality
• Identify and troubleshoot equipment issues or process deviations, escalating when needed
• Carry out Clean-in-Place (CIP) procedures and general sanitation tasks to maintain a food-safe production environment
• Perform in-process quality checks and accurately document results in production logs
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and facility safety protocols
• Support proper product handling, transfers, and staging across whey processing stages
• Participate in shift handoffs and communicate process status clearly to incoming crews
• Assist with general housekeeping and maintenance of the production area

What We're Looking For

• Prior experience in a food, dairy, or beverage manufacturing environment is a plus, though motivated candidates willing to learn are encouraged to apply
• Comfort working with industrial processing equipment and a willingness to troubleshoot hands-on
• Understanding of or ability to quickly learn GMP, food safety, and sanitation standards
• Attention to detail when recording data and completing quality checks
• Dependability and the ability to work effectively as part of a production team
• Physical capability to stand for extended periods and perform tasks in a manufacturing setting
