About the Role
As a Welder in Manufacturing with Elite, you'll bring structural components to life on the floor of a leading trailer and transportation equipment operation. Working primarily with MIG welding techniques, you'll fabricate and join steel and aluminum parts that go directly into finished trailers. This is an on-site, full-time position in Lafayette, Indiana — ideal for veterans and welders ready to build a lasting career in advanced manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out MIG welding on structural steel and aluminum components used in trailer production
- Read and interpret specifications to fabricate parts accurately and consistently
- Support fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing schedules while maintaining quality standards
- Inspect completed welds to confirm they meet structural and finish requirements
- Keep your work area, tools, and equipment safe, clean, and in good working order
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with MIG welding and metal fabrication
- Comfortable welding both structural steel and aluminum
- Ability to thrive in a high-volume, full-time manufacturing environment
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to workplace safety
