About the Role

As Vice President, Preconstruction, you will lead the strategy, estimating, and planning that set every project up to succeed before ground is broken. Based on-site in The Acreage, Palm Beach County, you will guide cross-functional teams, advise clients, and bring data-informed rigor to budgeting, scope development, and constructability across Suffolk Construction's portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct the full preconstruction process, from conceptual estimating through final budget and project handoff to operations.
• Build and present cost models, value-engineering options, and risk assessments that help clients make confident decisions.
• Mentor and develop estimating and preconstruction staff, raising the standard of analysis and delivery.
• Partner with design, self-perform, and operations teams to align scope, schedule, and budget early.
• Leverage data, analytics, and emerging technology to sharpen accuracy and uncover opportunities.
• Cultivate client and trade-partner relationships that support business development and repeat work.

Qualifications

• Extensive preconstruction, estimating, or construction management leadership experience, ideally on large or complex projects.
• Proven command of cost modeling, bid strategy, and constructability review.
• Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence clients, designers, and internal stakeholders.
• Comfort applying technology and data to traditional preconstruction workflows.
• Willingness to work on-site in The Acreage, Palm Beach County; this is not a remote position.
