Role overview (listing rewrite)

Pavago is seeking a full-time UX/UI Designer based in Costa Rica to lead end-to-end product design for one of our clients — turning user research into wireframes, polished interfaces, and developer-ready handoffs across web and mobile. About the Role This is a product design position, not a purely visual one. As a UX/UI Designer with Pavago, you will own the complete design lifecycle while partnering with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to build clean, scalable, and genuinely usable digital experiences. Working hours follow U.S. client business hours, with flexibility for sprint reviews, launches, and developer handoffs. Key Responsibilities Run user interviews, surveys, and usability testing, then translate insights into personas, journeys, user flows, and product requirements. Analyze behavior with tools such as Hotjar, FullStory, and Google Analytics to inform decisions. Produce low- and high-fidelity wireframes, interactive prototypes, and responsive UI in Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch. Build and maintain design systems, component libraries, and style guides with consistent typography, layout, color, and interaction patterns. Design for WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility, clear navigation, mobile responsiveness, localization, and inclusive use. Prepare specs, assets, and interaction documentation, supporting handoff via Figma Dev Mode, Zeplin, or InVision. Contribute to design reviews, A/B testing, and continuous improvement of onboarding, usability, and conversion. Qualifications 2+ years in UX/UI or product design, backed by a portfolio that shows UX thinking, problem-solving, and strong UI execution. Proficiency with Figma, Adobe XD, and Sketch, plus wireframing, prototyping, responsive design, and design systems. Solid grasp of user-centered design, accessibility, and product usability principles. Comfort working collaboratively in Agile environments and articulating why a design works, not only how it looks. Nice to have: experience with SaaS, mobile, or e-commerce products; basic HTML/CSS; analytics and user-testing platforms; large-scale design systems. About Pavago Pavago connects talented professionals with forward-thinking U.S. clients. In this role you'll take full ownership of the product design lifecycle, make a direct impact on usability and growth, and help shape scalable design systems — with a path toward Senior Product Designer, UX Lead, or Product Design Manager. How to Apply Ready to design intuitive, scalable product experiences from…
