PolicyTech is seeking a motivated Undergraduate Teaching Assistant to support faculty in Astrophysics and Planetary Science instruction at our Villanova, Delaware County campus. This full-time, on-site role is ideal for a student or recent learner eager to deepen their subject expertise while helping peers succeed.
About the Role
As an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at PolicyTech in Villanova, Delaware County, you will partner with Astrophysics and Planetary Science instructors—as well as Astrophysics faculty leading MSE coursework—to keep classes running smoothly. You will act as a bridge between students and professors, reinforcing core concepts and ensuring an engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist faculty with the delivery of Astrophysics and Planetary Science classes.
- Support Astrophysics faculty teaching MSE (Master of Science in Engineering) courses.
- Help students understand lecture material, assignments, and lab activities.
- Prepare and organize course materials as directed by the instructor.
- Provide guidance during class sessions and respond to student questions.
Qualifications
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate, ideally with coursework in astrophysics, planetary science, physics, or a related field.
- Solid grasp of foundational astrophysics and planetary science concepts.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical ideas clearly.
- Dependability, attention to detail, and a collaborative attitude.
- Availability to work on-site full-time in Villanova, Delaware County.
