Yavapai College is hiring a full-time Technician I, Grounds in Prescott, Yavapai County, to help keep our campus grounds healthy, safe, and welcoming year-round.

About the Role

As a Technician I, Grounds at Yavapai College, you will work under the direct supervision of a Grounds Supervisor or Grounds Lead, supporting the day-to-day upkeep of college landscapes and outdoor spaces. This hands-on, on-site position in Prescott blends routine maintenance, seasonal projects, and equipment operation, with on-call availability for snow removal when winter weather arrives.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out daily grounds maintenance tasks under the direction of the Grounds Lead or Supervisor.
• Safely operate common hand tools, power equipment, and grounds machinery.
• Assist with landscaping and improvement projects across campus.
• Respond to on-call snow removal needs during winter conditions.
• Provide general maintenance support and complete other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Willingness to perform physical, outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to safely use and maintain hand tools and grounds equipment.
• Comfortable taking direction from a Grounds Lead or Supervisor and working as part of a team.
• Availability for on-call snow removal when needed.
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining attractive, safe campus grounds.
