This position combines technical tax work with client leadership, where you'll guide junior team members and collaborate with EY partners to expand client relationships and identify new advisory opportunities. Responsibilities Direct the preparation and filing of property tax returns and documentation for clients operating across multiple states and jurisdictions Develop and execute property tax planning strategies to reduce client exposure and optimize tax positions Conduct property tax risk assessments and valuation analyses for real property, equipment, and intangible assets Serve as primary contact for assigned clients, managing timelines, deliverables, and expectations Mentor and supervise staff and junior consultants on property tax compliance, analysis, and planning work Stay current on evolving property tax regulations, audit procedures, and industry developments across relevant states Contribute to new business development by identifying client needs and proposing advisory engagements Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting, tax, finance, or related field; CPA license or active progress toward certification strongly preferred 5+ years of professional tax experience, including direct involvement in property tax compliance and planning Deep knowledge of property tax law, valuation methods, and multi-state property tax regulations Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships and lead projects independently Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in tax documentation and strategy development Excellent communication skills and ability to explain complex tax concepts to clients and team members Proficiency with tax software, accounting systems, and Microsoft Office; experience with research and valuation tools is beneficial Working at EY EY is a global professional services firm committed to building a better working world.
