You'll manage a team responsible for ensuring that all security accreditation activities comply with government standards and parliamentary security requirements. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest security and confidentiality standards. Key Responsibilities Oversee the end-to-end personnel security screening and accreditation process Supervise and support a team involved in security clearance administration and verification Ensure all screening activities comply with government security protocols and parliamentary policies Review and approve security clearance documentation and accreditation records Liaise with external security agencies and internal stakeholders regarding clearance status and requirements Maintain detailed records and databases related to personnel accreditation Identify process improvements and implement quality assurance measures Train and mentor team members on security procedures and best practices Who We're Looking For Proven experience supervising teams in security, screening, compliance, or human resources roles Strong knowledge of Canadian government security clearance frameworks and accreditation standards Excellent organisational and project management skills Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and integrity Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (French language skills are an asset) Proficiency with database management and office software systems Commitment to maintaining parliamentary security and protecting public trust Valid security clearance or ability to obtain one About the Company The House of Commons of Canada is the elected chamber of the Canadian Parliament, located in Ottawa.
