Supervised Visitation Specialist

Outreach Works is hiring a full-time Supervised Visitation Specialist in Scranton, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania — a meaningful on-site role supporting families and children through safe, professionally guided visitation sessions.

About the Role

As a Supervised Visitation Specialist with Outreach Works in Scranton, PA, you will help create a secure, neutral, and supportive setting where parents and children can spend time together. This is an hourly, non-exempt position scheduled for 37.5 hours per week, and it requires availability during evening and weekend hours to meet the needs of the families we serve. You will report directly to the Supervised Visitation (SV) Lead.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and facilitate supervised visitation sessions between children and their parents or guardians.
• Maintain a calm, safe, and welcoming environment that keeps the well-being of children at the center of every interaction.
• Observe, document, and report on visits accurately and objectively, following program standards and guidelines.
• Coordinate scheduling and logistics for visits, including those held in the evenings and on weekends.
• Work closely with the SV Lead and the broader team to uphold the highest professional and ethical standards.

Qualifications

• A genuine commitment to treating every individual with dignity and respect.
• Strong observation, communication, and written documentation skills.
• Sound judgment and the ability to stay composed and impartial in sensitive family situations.
• Reliable availability for a 37.5-hour weekly schedule, including required evening and weekend shifts.
• Willingness to work on-site in Scranton, Lackawanna County (this role is not remote).
