Core Duties Receive, sort, and decontaminate surgical instruments and equipment after use following established infection-control procedures Inspect instruments for cleanliness, function, and damage; report any defects and coordinate repairs or replacement Assemble instrument sets and procedural trays accurately according to count sheets and facility standards Operate and monitor sterilizers and other processing equipment; load, run, and unload cycles correctly Perform routine biological and chemical indicator tests and document results for sterilization verification Maintain inventory of sterile supplies, wrap items when needed, and ensure proper storage and rotation Complete required documentation, labels, and tracking records for processed items Follow manufacturer instructions for use, facility policies, and regulatory guidelines for sterile processing Support continuous readiness by communicating equipment or supply issues promptly to the team Who We're Looking For Current certification as a Certified Sterile Processing Technician (or equivalent national credential such as CRCST) Practical knowledge of decontamination, packaging, sterilization methods, and instrument inspection Familiarity with steam sterilization, sterilizer operation, and quality monitoring processes Ability to read and follow count sheets, IFUs, and safety protocols carefully Strong attention to detail, reliability, and willingness to work collaboratively on the sterile processing team Physical capacity to stand for extended periods, lift instrument trays, and handle equipment safely in a clinical setting Commitment to infection prevention and maintaining a clean, organized work area Working at Regent-surgical-careers Regent-surgical-careers is hiring for this Summit Surgery Center - Certified Sterile Processing…
