Imperial Valley College is building a Continuous Applicant Pool for the role of Substitute Technology Support Specialist, an on-site, full-time opportunity in the United States supporting students, faculty, and staff with reliable technology services.
About the Role
As a Substitute Technology Support Specialist at Imperial Valley College, you will report to an Area Administrator or assigned supervisor and provide hands-on assistance across end-user, technical, printing, classroom, instructional, and clerical needs within your assigned area. This applicant pool is reviewed on an ongoing basis to fill substitute coverage as it arises across campus.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver technical and end-user support to students, instructors, and staff in your designated area.
- Assist with classroom and instructional technology to keep learning environments running smoothly.
- Provide printing and clerical support as required by the department.
- Help create and roll out support materials, training resources, and research tools.
- Contribute to support services tailored to the evolving needs of the department.
Qualifications
- Practical familiarity with end-user, classroom, and instructional technology support.
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and printing issues for a diverse campus community.
- Strong communication and clerical skills to assist faculty, staff, and students effectively.
- Comfort working under the direction of an administrator or supervisor in an on-site setting.
- Flexibility to step in on a substitute basis as coverage is needed.
