What You'll Do Staff the community desk or front desk area during assigned shifts, serving as the primary point of contact for residents, guests, and visitors Monitor building access, manage key systems, and maintain accurate sign-in logs for packages and visitors Respond to resident inquiries and direct them to appropriate resources such as Residential Life staff or campus services Assist with the setup and breakdown of community spaces and events hosted within the residence hall Report maintenance issues, security concerns, and facility needs to supervisory staff Maintain a clean and inviting community desk area and surrounding common spaces Support residential staff in enforcing community standards and residence hall policies Process administrative tasks including mail handling, work requests, and basic data entry What We're Looking For Currently enrolled as a UNR student at the undergraduate or graduate level Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to interact professionally with diverse populations Reliability and punctuality with commitment to consistent attendance Organizational skills and attention to detail in record-keeping Ability to work independently and take initiative within a structured environment Comfort with basic computer systems and willingness to learn residence life-specific software Customer service experience preferred but not required About University of Nevada Reno UNR is a premier research institution serving northern Nevada and beyond.
