The Opportunity As a Student Nurse Scholar/CNA on our 4T Medical/Oncology Unit, you'll work day shifts providing essential patient care and clinical support in one of Charlotte's premier medical facilities. This role bridges your nursing education and practical healthcare experience, placing you in a collaborative team environment where you'll develop clinical competencies under the mentorship of experienced nursing staff. The 4T unit specializes in medical and oncology patient populations, offering exposure to complex care scenarios and evidence-based practices. Core Duties Assist patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, grooming, and positioning Monitor and record vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates Support registered nurses with direct patient care and treatment delivery Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable patient environment Respond promptly to patient needs and requests using the call system Communicate effectively with nursing staff about patient status and observations Assist with patient transport and mobility as needed Support clinical procedures under nursing supervision Qualifications Current or in-progress nursing degree enrollment (ADN or BSN program) Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification or current completion of CNA training Current CPR/BLS certification Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment Strong communication and interpersonal skills Physical ability to lift, transfer, and position patients safely Commitment to patient-centered care and professional healthcare standards About the Company AAH operates Carolinas Medical Center, a leading healthcare provider in Charlotte, North Carolina.
