Structural Engineer (Remote – Singapore Projects)

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Structural Engineer to support the design, analysis, and review of structural systems for projects primarily based in Singapore.

Portfolio is required — must showcase completed or contributed projects across residential, commercial, and industrial developments, including Singapore landed housing and/or high-rise projects

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and analyze structural systems (reinforced concrete, steel, timber, and masonry) for new and existing structures
    -Prepare structural calculations, technical reports, and detailed design documentation
    -Review architectural and engineering drawings to ensure structural integrity and buildability
    -Ensure compliance with Singapore building codes, standards, and regulatory requirements (e.g., BCA guidelines, Eurocodes with Singapore National Annex)
    -Coordinate closely with architects, MEP consultants, contractors, and project managers in a remote setup
    -Participate in design reviews, coordination meetings, and client discussions
    -Provide technical support during construction, including responding to RFIs and design revisions
    -Conduct structural assessments and propose strengthening or retrofitting solutions when required
    -Manage multiple projects and deliver outputs within agreed timelines

    Required Qualifications

    -Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
    -Registered or eligible for Professional Engineer (PE) status (Singapore is an advantage)
    -Minimum 3–8 years of relevant structural design experience
    -Strong understanding of structural analysis and design principles
    -Familiarity with Singapore codes and standards (BCA, Eurocodes, SS EN)
    -Experience working with remote or distributed teams is preferred

    Technical Skills

    -Proficiency in structural analysis software such as ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, STAAD, or similar
    -Experience with BIM and drafting tools (AutoCAD, Revit, Tekla)
    -Strong skills in structural calculations and technical documentation
    -Ability to review and annotate drawings digitally
    -Comfortable using collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and project management platforms

    Soft Skills

    -Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
    -Excellent time management and ability to work independently
    -Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving capabilities
    -Self-motivated and able to thrive in a remote work environment
