Stem- Lead/Ydp – Miller Freedom

Boys & Girls Clubs Of Northeast Florida is seeking an energetic STEM Lead/YDP – Miller Freedom to spark curiosity and discovery among young people on Amelia Island in Nassau County. This full-time, on-site role places science, technology, engineering, and math at the heart of an engaging youth development experience.

About the Role

As the STEM Lead/Youth Development Professional at the Miller Freedom location, you will guide hands-on learning that brings STEM concepts to life for club members. Beyond delivering programming, you will help anchor day-to-day operations and step in as a dependable backup to the Unit Director, ensuring activities run smoothly and reflect proven youth development principles.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and lead engaging STEM activities that weave youth development principles into every program.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and encouraging environment where members feel supported and inspired to explore.
• Serve as a backup to the Unit Director, assisting with the facilitation and oversight of club operations.
• Mentor and supervise young participants throughout daily activities and projects.
• Support the wider club team to keep programs consistent, organized, and member-focused.

Qualifications

• A genuine passion for working with youth and fostering their growth and confidence.
• Knowledge of or enthusiasm for STEM subjects and experiential, activity-based learning.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational abilities.
• The flexibility and reliability to assist with facility and program management as needed.
• Availability to work full-time, on-site at the Miller Freedom location in Nassau County.
