About the Role As a Staff Platform Support Engineer based in Bengaluru, you will take operational ownership of the stability, performance, and reliability of Saviynt's identity platform, with a particular focus on the network layer. Partnering closely with development, cloud engineering, and fellow operations team members, you'll resolve incidents, ship improvements, and follow your work through to completion in a fast-moving cloud environment. Key Responsibilities Communicate clearly with technical stakeholders to explain critical issues, break-fix solutions, and implementation steps, keeping customer satisfaction high during high-pressure situations. Lead the team through Sev1 scenarios, going the extra mile and following up with thorough documentation and proactive updates. Review customer network architectures and recommend approaches that integrate cleanly with Saviynt's technology stack. Diagnose, debug, and resolve customer-reported incidents and system alerts within agreed service levels, delivering root cause analysis for each. Set up Saviynt's in-house connectivity solutions, including IPsec and other connectivity modes, while mentoring the wider team. Act as a lead, maintaining operational control of incidents and service requests and publishing standard operating procedures. Qualifications 7–10 years of hands-on experience supporting networking environments. Strong command of packet-capture tools such as Wireshark and advanced TCP/IP analysis to untangle complex network issues. Experience administering cloud networking across AWS and Azure, including VPCs, VNets, subnets, routing protocols, and gateways. Ability to configure firewalls, network security policies, and access controls, and to perform thorough RCA on network incidents. Solid grasp of network protocols and services including TCP/IP and BGP, plus working knowledge of Linux systems and networking commands. Hands-on familiarity with VPNs, routers, and physical network hardware, and the ability to lead engineers who may not be networking specialists. Comfort monitoring systems such as AWS Lambda functions and using Saviynt-approved AI tooling to ensure full coverage of the networking setup. Kubernetes knowledge is a plus.
