Rubrik is hiring a Senior Sales Engineer – AI for a full-time, on-site position based in Five Points, Wake County, North Carolina — a technical pre-sales role at the intersection of artificial intelligence and enterprise cyber resilience.

About the Role

As a Senior Sales Engineer on Rubrik's AI-focused sales team, you'll serve as the primary technical voice in the sales cycle, partnering closely with account executives to help organizations across the commercial and public sectors build defensible, AI-augmented data security strategies. You'll work within Rubrik's One Rubrik selling framework — a unified go-to-market approach that brings together cross-functional resources to drive deals from discovery through close.

What You'll Do

  • Lead technical discovery sessions to uncover prospect challenges around cyberattack recovery, insider threats, and operational continuity
  • Deliver compelling product demonstrations of Rubrik's AI-driven data security and resilience platform to technical and executive audiences
  • Design and execute proof-of-value engagements that validate Rubrik's capabilities against real customer environments
  • Translate complex AI and security architecture concepts into clear business outcomes for diverse stakeholders
  • Respond to technical sections of RFPs and RFIs, in partnership with sales and solutions teams
  • Advise government and enterprise customers on ransomware resilience, data observability, and AI-powered threat detection workflows
  • Maintain deep knowledge of the competitive landscape and position Rubrik's differentiation effectively
  • Collaborate with product and engineering on customer feedback that shapes the roadmap

What We're Looking For

  • Proven pre-sales or solutions engineering experience in enterprise software, cybersecurity, or data management
  • Working knowledge of AI/ML concepts and how they apply to security, analytics, or data protection use cases
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid infrastructure architectures
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to present technical material to both C-suite and hands-on technical teams
  • Experience selling into or supporting public sector and federal government accounts is a plus
  • Excellent communication, discovery, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent opportunities in a fast-paced, quota-driven environment
