Core Duties Own the development, optimization, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes used for substrate production and handling. Monitor process health through data analysis, statistical process control, and structured problem-solving to reduce defects and raise yields. Draft, update, and train teams on process specifications, work instructions, and control plans that keep operations stable and repeatable. Lead root-cause investigations when process excursions occur and implement robust corrective and preventive actions with cross-functional stakeholders. Support new process introductions, equipment qualifications, and material evaluations while ensuring smooth hand-offs to high-volume manufacturing. Coach junior engineers and technicians on best practices in process engineering and foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement on the production floor. What We're Looking For Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in materials science, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a related technical discipline. Proven senior-level experience as a process or manufacturing engineer, preferably with direct exposure to substrate fabrication or similar precision manufacturing environments. Solid working knowledge of statistical tools, design of experiments, process capability analysis, and structured methodologies such as Six Sigma or 8D. Ability to collaborate effectively with production, quality, equipment, and supply-chain colleagues in a fast-paced plant setting. Hands-on familiarity with process metrology, equipment setup windows, and standard quality systems commonly used in advanced manufacturing.
