Sr. HVAC/R Technician

Alcami is hiring a Sr. HVAC/R Technician in Wrightsville Beach, New Hanover County, to keep critical pharmaceutical facility systems running at peak performance. This full-time, on-site role is eligible for relocation assistance and a sign-on bonus.

About the Role

As a Sr. HVAC/R Technician at Alcami, you will be a hands-on expert responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and servicing the heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems that support a regulated life-sciences environment. Precise temperature and air-quality control is essential to safeguarding sensitive products and processes, so your craftsmanship directly contributes to the reliable delivery of transformative medicines from early discovery through commercial manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate, inspect, and maintain HVAC/R equipment to ensure continuous, compliant facility performance.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control faults and carry out timely repairs to minimize downtime.
• Complete preventive and corrective maintenance in line with established schedules and procedures.
• Monitor system conditions and respond to alarms or deviations that affect controlled spaces.
• Maintain accurate service documentation to support quality and regulatory standards.
• Partner with facilities and engineering colleagues to plan upgrades and resolve recurring issues.

Qualifications

• Proven, senior-level experience servicing commercial or industrial HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and control components.
• Working knowledge of refrigerant handling, building automation, and preventive maintenance practices.
• Ability to read schematics, follow detailed procedures, and document work clearly.
• Comfort working on-site full-time in Wrightsville Beach, New Hanover County, with attention to safety and compliance.
