NBS is hiring a Sr. Consultant for our Utility Rate Group, a full-time opportunity based in Temecula, Riverside County, California with the flexibility to work remotely. If you thrive on solving complex utility rate challenges and want to grow a consulting practice, this role is built for you.
About the Role
As a Sr. Consultant on the NBS Utility Rate Group, you will help expand our consulting practice by delivering high-quality rate analysis and advisory work for public agency clients. This is a full-time, exempt position offering a salary range of $90,000 to $150,000. NBS maintains standard office hours of Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. PST, with the option to work a Compressed Work Week (9/80) schedule. The position can be performed remotely or from our Temecula, CA office.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support utility rate studies and related consulting engagements.
- Help grow and strengthen the Utility Rate Group practice.
- Analyze financial and operational data to develop sound rate recommendations.
- Communicate findings clearly to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Manage project deliverables to meet quality standards and deadlines.
Qualifications
- A motivated, self-directed professional with senior-level consulting experience.
- Background in utility rates, municipal finance, or a closely related field.
- Strong analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and collaboratively.
