Speech Pathologist (Part-time, Day Shift)

Adventist Health is seeking a compassionate, licensed Speech Pathologist (Part-time, Day Shift) to join our rehabilitation team in Atascadero, San Luis Obispo County. About the Role

As a Speech Pathologist with Adventist Health Sierra Vista, you will evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients facing speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing challenges. Working a daytime, part-time schedule in Atascadero, you will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and fellow therapists to design care plans that move each patient toward their best possible recovery.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patients and develop individualized speech-language and swallowing treatment plans
• Deliver therapeutic interventions for communication, cognitive, and dysphagia disorders
• Document evaluations, progress, and outcomes accurately within patient records
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on home strategies and goals
• Partner with the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate seamless, patient-centered care

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a closely related field
• Current licensure to practice as a Speech Pathologist in California
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skills
• Commitment to compassionate, evidence-based patient care
