Life Care Center of South Hill is hiring a full-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) at our skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility in Puy, Pierce County, Washington — a role designed for clinicians who want meaningful patient impact alongside real career growth.

About the Role

As an SLP at Life Care Center of South Hill, you'll work in a collaborative, interdisciplinary rehab environment serving patients across a spectrum of communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. New graduates are encouraged to apply, and compensation is competitive based on experience, ranging from $40 to $53 per hour DOE.

What You'll Do

  • Evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, voice, fluency, and cognitive-communication impairments
  • Assess and manage dysphagia, developing individualized dysphagia intervention plans and dietary recommendations
  • Design, implement, and document evidence-based treatment programs aligned with each patient's functional goals
  • Collaborate with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, and physicians to coordinate comprehensive care
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and home programs
  • Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory and facility standards
  • Participate in care plan meetings and contribute to discharge planning

What We're Looking For

  • Master's degree or doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current Washington State SLP license, or eligibility to obtain licensure
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA, or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) eligibility — new graduates welcome
  • Experience with skilled nursing or post-acute rehabilitation settings is a plus but not required
  • Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and documentation skills
  • Commitment to patient-centered, outcomes-driven care
