About the Role
As a Special Educational Paraeducator with Humble Independent School District in the US, you will work alongside certified teachers to deliver individualized support to students with diverse learning needs. This position may be assigned to an inclusion (ICS) setting or a self-contained classroom, and it follows a 187-day instructional calendar at the Instructional Support IS3 level, with a minimum salary of $22,664.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing instructional plans and adapting activities for students receiving special education services.
- Provide one-on-one and small-group support to reinforce academic, behavioral, and life-skills goals.
- Help students access lessons in inclusion or self-contained environments, depending on assignment.
- Monitor student progress and communicate observations to teaching staff.
- Maintain a safe, structured, and encouraging classroom atmosphere.
