Job Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Solar PV Expert / Technical Advisor to support large-scale renewable energy projects. The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership across project development, design evaluation, performance analysis, and risk assessment for utility-scale solar PV plants. This role requires strong expertise in solar technologies, engineering analysis, and financial/technical decision support.
Key Responsibilities

Lead technical due diligence for utility-scale solar PV projects during development and execution phases
-
Review and validate system design, engineering layouts, and single-line diagrams (SLDs)
-
Conduct energy yield assessments and performance simulations using industry-standard tools
-
Evaluate and recommend PV technologies, modules, inverters, and balance-of-system (BOS) components
-
Perform risk assessment and technical advisory for investment and EPC decisions
-
Support project teams in design optimization and cost-performance balancing
-
Analyze and benchmark LCOE (Levelized Cost of Energy) and project feasibility
-
Provide expert input on contractor technical submissions and vendor evaluations
-
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including EPC, procurement, and project finance
-
Ensure compliance with international solar standards and best engineering practices
Requirements
Required Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Renewable Energy / Electrical Engineering or related field
-
12–20 years of total professional experience
-
Minimum 8–15 years in utility-scale Solar PV projects
Technical Skills
-
PV design & simulation tools: PVsyst, Helioscope, HOMER Pro, MATLAB
-
Strong understanding of solar PV system design, grid integration, and performance modeling
-
Knowledge of energy modeling, shading analysis, and system optimization
-
Understanding of financial modeling and LCOE analysis
Certifications (Preferred)
-
NABCEP Certification
-
PMP (Project Management Professional)
-
Chartered Engineer (CEng)
