About the Role

The Lead Ads engineering team owns the infrastructure and product surfaces that power TikTok's lead generation offerings. These tools help businesses capture high-intent customer information directly inside the TikTok experience, creating frictionless interactions that convert — without asking users to leave the app. As an intern embedded in this team, you'll contribute to real production systems that directly influence advertiser activation rates, retention, and revenue growth.

What You'll Do

• Develop and ship features for TikTok's lead generation ad products, contributing to end-to-end delivery pipelines and user-facing form experiences
• Write clean, well-tested code that supports the reliability and performance of lead ad solutions at significant scale
• Help design intuitive advertiser workflows that simplify campaign creation and improve customer interaction quality
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and data scientists to translate requirements into shippable engineering work
• Investigate and resolve performance bottlenecks, working to improve delivery efficiency and conversion outcomes
• Contribute to a platform where community trust and user safety are first-class engineering concerns

What We're Looking For

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field
• Solid grounding in data structures, algorithms, and software design principles
• Hands-on experience with at least one mainstream programming language (such as Go, Java, Python, or C++)
• Familiarity with web technologies and an interest in advertising systems or growth-oriented product engineering
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional team environment
