Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Corporation is hiring a full-time Social Worker II (KCC) to join our Tenant and Community Services team at the Kelly Cullen Community Center in the Tenderloin, San Francisco. This is a meaningful opportunity to support residents and strengthen one of the city's most resilient neighborhoods.
About the Role
As a Social Worker II at Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Corporation, you will work directly with tenants and community members, connecting them with resources, advocacy, and ongoing support. Based on-site at 220 Golden Gate Avenue, this position blends client-facing service with collaborative teamwork under the guidance of a Social Worker Site Supervisor. The role follows a Monday through Friday schedule, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with four days on-site and one day remote each week.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide supportive social work services to residents within the Tenant and Community Services department.
- Assess individual needs and link tenants to appropriate community, health, and housing resources.
- Build trusting relationships with community members at the Kelly Cullen Community Center.
- Maintain accurate case records and documentation in line with program standards.
- Coordinate with site staff and supervisors to deliver responsive, person-centered care.
Qualifications
- Background in social work or a closely related human services field.
- Experience supporting diverse, underserved, or formerly homeless populations is valuable.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and case management abilities.
- Commitment to equity, dignity, and the well-being of Tenderloin residents.
- Ability to work on-site at the Kelly Cullen Community Center in San Francisco.
Compensation & Details
- Pay range: $34.42 – $37.46 per hour.
- Employment type: Full-time, non-exempt, union-represented.
- Location: 220 Golden Gate Ave, San Francisco, CA 94102 (Tenderloin).
