About the Role
As a Social Media Manager (Contract) at PlayStation Global, you will shape how millions of players connect with PlayStation online. Working on-site in San Mateo, you'll craft, schedule, and grow content that reflects Sony Interactive Entertainment's reputation as both the best place to play and the best place to work. This is a hands-on role for a storyteller who lives and breathes social culture, gaming, and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and publish engaging content across PlayStation's social media channels to drive reach, conversation, and community growth.
- Develop on-brand copy, visuals, and campaign ideas that resonate with players and reinforce the PlayStation Global identity.
- Monitor conversations, trends, and audience sentiment, responding in a voice that feels authentic to the gaming community.
- Track performance metrics and translate insights into smarter, higher-impact content decisions.
- Partner with internal marketing, creative, and brand teams to keep messaging consistent and timely.
Qualifications
- Proven experience managing social media for a brand, ideally within gaming, entertainment, or technology.
- Strong writing, editing, and visual storytelling instincts tailored to platform-specific audiences.
- Familiarity with social analytics, scheduling tools, and community management best practices.
- Ability to work on-site in San Mateo, San Mateo County, on a full-time contract basis.
- A genuine passion for gaming and the PlayStation ecosystem.
