Gulf Distributing Services Company invites transitioning service members in Milton, Santa Rosa County to launch a commercial driving career through the SkillBridge Delivery Driver Externship (CDL Pathway) — a full-time, hands-on program in real-world logistics and delivery operations.
About the Role
This externship is a learning-first experience created exclusively for active-duty members preparing to transition into civilian careers. As a SkillBridge Delivery Driver Externship (CDL Pathway) participant in Milton, Santa Rosa County, you will work alongside our delivery team to understand how routes are planned, products are moved, and customers are served. Reporting to the Assistant Delivery Manager, you will gain practical exposure to commercial driving and the day-to-day rhythm of a busy distribution operation while building toward a CDL.
Key Responsibilities
- Shadow and assist experienced drivers to learn safe, efficient delivery practices.
- Observe and participate in route execution, loading, and product handling.
- Develop foundational skills along the commercial driving (CDL) pathway.
- Support delivery operations and logistics processes under team guidance.
- Report to and learn directly from the Assistant Delivery Manager.
Qualifications
- Active-duty service member eligible for the Department of Defense SkillBridge program and approaching transition.
- Genuine interest in logistics, delivery operations, and commercial driving.
- Willingness to learn hands-on in a physically active, team-oriented environment.
- Commitment to safety and dependable, detail-focused work.
