This role combines hands-on system design, engineering mentorship, and strategic technical direction across automation, testing, and fulfillment operations. Up to 10% of your time may involve domestic travel. Compensation ranges from $201,571 to $221,571 annually. What You'll Do Collaborate across Retail, eCommerce, and Supply Chain teams to architect and deliver scalable, dependable software that powers automated warehouse and fulfillment operations globally Provide hands-on technical leadership for quality assurance, automation engineering, and performance validation, establishing best practices and raising standards across multiple engineering teams Design, build, and maintain comprehensive automation frameworks and test infrastructure spanning APIs, microservices, UI, and data layers, fully integrated into modern CI/CD and cloud-native environments Drive performance, stress, and reliability testing initiatives, including capacity modeling and failure-mode analysis, to ensure systems consistently meet demanding throughput, latency, and uptime targets Apply Discrete Event Simulation and system-level modeling techniques to optimize warehouse, fulfillment, and material handling throughput, utilization, and identify bottlenecks Integrate testing, simulation, and observability capabilities into production-grade environments alongside software engineers, enabling data-driven continuous improvements Lead the design and integration of advanced solutions—including AI-driven workflows, Computer Vision–powered quality assurance, and LLM-enabled capabilities—with emphasis on real-world reliability and measurable impact Translate operational and business requirements into robust technical designs that balance scalability, dependability, cost, and long-term maintainability Mentor engineering talent, lead technical discussions, oversee code reviews, and shape architecture decisions within and across teams Monitor emerging trends and technologies in retail, eCommerce, supply chain automation, and AI, identifying innovations that strengthen system performance…
