This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on leadership in one of the nation's most essential infrastructure sectors. What You'll Do Direct end-to-end project delivery for water and wastewater facilities, managing timelines, resources, and budgets Lead and develop project teams, including engineers, technicians, and contractors across multiple sites Coordinate with municipal clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency Oversee technical aspects of design and construction, ensuring solutions meet performance and compliance requirements Manage project risks, identify solutions to challenges, and maintain quality standards throughout execution Track project metrics, document lessons learned, and drive continuous improvement across teams What We're Looking For Proven experience managing water or wastewater infrastructure projects at a senior level Strong understanding of municipal water treatment, wastewater systems, or related civil infrastructure Demonstrated leadership in managing budgets typically ranging from millions of dollars Excellent communication skills for engaging technical teams, clients, and regulatory partners Knowledge of industry standards, environmental regulations, and construction best practices PMP certification or equivalent project management credentials Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field About Black & Veatch As an employee-owned engineering and construction company, Black & Veatch partners with communities across North America on critical infrastructure projects.
