Senior Operations Manager- Bedding

Ashley Furniture Industries, LLC. is hiring a full-time Senior Operations Manager — Bedding to lead manufacturing operations at its facility in Belmont, Tishomingo County, Mississippi — a key production hub for the world's largest home furnishings manufacturer.

About the Role

In this senior leadership position, you'll own end-to-end bedding production operations, driving efficiency, quality, and team performance across a high-volume manufacturing environment. You'll be central to Ashley's mission of delivering exceptional home products at scale, translating strategic goals into daily operational results.

What You'll Do

• Direct all facets of bedding manufacturing operations, including scheduling, workflow management, and resource allocation
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of supervisors and frontline production staff to meet throughput and quality targets
• Implement and sustain lean manufacturing practices, continuous improvement initiatives, and waste-reduction programs
• Monitor key performance indicators — including OEE, scrap rates, and on-time output — and drive corrective action where needed
• Collaborate cross-functionally with supply chain, engineering, and quality assurance to resolve bottlenecks and align on production plans
• Maintain strict adherence to OSHA safety standards and company safety protocols, fostering a culture of workplace safety
• Manage department budgets, identify cost-reduction opportunities, and report operational performance to senior leadership
• Partner with materials planning to ensure raw material availability aligns with production schedules

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline
• Significant progressive experience in a manufacturing operations leadership role, ideally within bedding, furniture, or consumer goods production
• Demonstrated proficiency with lean manufacturing methodologies (5S, Kaizen, Six Sigma, or equivalent)
• Proven ability to lead large, diverse production teams and develop frontline supervisors
• Strong analytical mindset with experience using ERP or production management systems to drive decisions
• Solid understanding of quality management systems and regulatory compliance in a manufacturing setting
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to align teams around operational priorities
