Collaborate daily with production supervisors, geologists and maintenance staff to incorporate latest ground conditions, drill-and-blast results and fleet status into the schedule. Generate scenario analyses that test alternative rates, sequence options or constraint changes and present recommended paths to site leadership. Monitor actual versus planned progress, identify variances early and revise the short-term schedule to recover or protect the weekly forecast. Maintain schedule data integrity within the mine planning system and ensure all stakeholders receive clear, up-to-date outputs. Champion continuous improvement of scheduling processes, tools and hand-over protocols so that short-term plans remain realistic and executable. What We're Looking For Degree in mining engineering or a closely related discipline, backed by several years of practical open-cut or underground experience. Proven track record developing short-term schedules and supporting active mine production in Australia or similar jurisdictions. Strong proficiency with industry mine scheduling software and the ability to integrate dilution, recovery and equipment factors into workable plans. Excellent problem-solving skills under time pressure and the capacity to communicate technical recommendations clearly to mixed operational audiences.
