Combining decades of research, top talent, and new technologies, we're designing and building commercially viable fusion power plants. Join us as a Senior Mechanical Engineer on the Assembly Team where you will design, develop, and manage fabrication of unique tooling needed for the successful assembly and integration of the SPARC tokamak device. Your Responsibilities Develop overall concept, engineering, and use strategy for each tool assembly and its corresponding assembly step. Collaborate closely with system teams to find efficient, creative, cost-effective, and safest ways to manipulate, guide, and integrate parts of the tokamak system. Design and build tools needed for complex, large, and critical assemblies. Create work-instruction packets that guide tool use during assembly. Guide completion of challenging SPARC assembly tasks with your expertise on our most complex tools. Qualifications Experience in mechanical engineering, particularly in the design and fabrication of complex systems. Knowledge of tokamak assembly processes and tooling development.
