We're hiring a Senior Manager Risk – ICAAP / ILAAP (Pillar 1) to head our Risk Governance & Capital Planning team on a full-time basis. About the Role As Senior Manager Risk – ICAAP / ILAAP (Pillar 1), you'll own the core risk controlling processes that underpin capital and liquidity adequacy, concentrating on Pillar 1 within the normative perspective of the ICAAP framework alongside ILAAP. You'll keep N26 aligned with regulatory expectations and internal risk strategy while sharpening governance frameworks, methodologies, and controlling practices. Leading a dedicated team from our Madrid office, you'll mentor specialists and serve as a primary point of contact for auditors and regulators. Key Responsibilities Lead, coach, and grow the Risk Governance & Capital Planning team across ICAAP (Pillar 1) and ILAAP topics Maintain and advance capital planning processes, Pillar 1 ICAAP governance, stress testing frameworks, and scenario design Develop the ILAAP framework, including liquidity risk methodologies, stress testing, and key liquidity metrics such as survival horizon and maturity transformation Oversee governance components spanning RWA calculation, risk appetite, policies, limit setting and monitoring, and internal controls Manage the risk inventory and recovery plan (Sanierungsplan), keeping capital and liquidity perspectives consistent Elevate risk reporting across ICAAP and ILAAP with data-driven insights for senior leadership Uphold robust data governance and quality in line with BCBS 239 for balance sheet, RWA, and liquidity inputs Ensure compliance with MaRisk, CRR, ICAAP/ILAAP guidelines, and EBA expectations while partnering with Finance, Treasury, and Risk Apply modern technology to automate workflows, simplify processes, and boost operational efficiency Qualifications Master's degree in business, economics, finance, mathematics, or a comparable discipline 7+ years in risk management, risk controlling, capital planning, or liquidity risk at a regulated financial institution or top consultancy Solid track record across ICAAP, capital planning, and/or ILAAP and liquidity risk Demonstrated experience leading or mentoring teams and steering complex initiatives Deep knowledge of ICAAP and ILAAP frameworks, stress testing, recovery planning, funding risk, and…
