Insight Global
Insight Global is hiring a Senior Facilities Technician – UPW & IWW (Night Shift) to join its team supporting semiconductor manufacturing operations in West Slope, Washington County. This is a full-time, on-site night shift position for an experienced water systems professional ready to take ownership of critical facility infrastructure.
About the Role
As a Senior Facilities Tech focused on ultra-pure water (UPW) and industrial wastewater (IWW) systems, you will be the subject-matter expert keeping water treatment, reclaim, and recycling processes running at peak performance through the night. Semiconductor fabrication demands uncompromising water purity and airtight environmental compliance — your expertise directly protects both production uptime and regulatory standing.
What You'll Do
- Monitor, operate, and maintain ultra-pure water generation and distribution systems to specification throughout the night shift
- Manage industrial wastewater treatment and water reclaim processes, ensuring effluent quality meets all environmental discharge standards
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on pumps, valves, membranes, ion-exchange units, filtration assemblies, and associated instrumentation
- Troubleshoot system alarms and process deviations, escalating or resolving issues to minimize impact on fab operations
- Conduct water quality sampling, testing, and data logging; interpret results and adjust chemistry or system parameters accordingly
- Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives targeting system efficiency, water recovery rates, and waste reduction
- Document maintenance activities, equipment history, and compliance records accurately in the facility CMMS
- Coordinate with day-shift technicians and engineering teams to communicate overnight findings and hand off open items
What We're Looking For
- Demonstrated experience operating and maintaining UPW systems in a semiconductor, pharmaceutical, or similarly demanding cleanroom environment
- Working knowledge of industrial wastewater treatment technologies including chemical dosing, filtration, and pH/ORP control
- Familiarity with environmental compliance requirements governing industrial water discharge
- Ability to read P&IDs, interpret equipment manuals, and work safely with high-purity chemical handling protocols
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a systematic, data-driven approach to problem-solving
- Comfort working independently during overnight hours while maintaining clear communication with the broader facilities team
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or relevant certifications (water treatment, wastewater operations) preferred
