About the Role
As Senior Director, Turnaround & Restructuring, you will work alongside Ankura's advisory teams to stabilize and reposition underperforming and distressed businesses. Companies facing liquidity pressure, loss-making divisions, and difficult market conditions rely on our advisors to diagnose problems and act decisively. You will collaborate directly with senior leadership to evaluate each situation and design strategic plans that address the full picture of a struggling organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with client executives and management teams to assess financial, operational, and industry-related challenges.
- Develop and execute strategic turnaround plans that target liquidity, profitability, and underperforming business units.
- Translate analysis into practical actions that can be implemented quickly under tight constraints.
- Lead engagement workstreams and provide hands-on guidance throughout the restructuring process.
Qualifications
- Substantial experience in turnaround, restructuring, or corporate advisory work.
- Proven ability to advise senior management during distressed or high-pressure situations.
- Strong analytical skills paired with sound commercial and strategic judgment.
- Willingness to work full-time and on-site in Chicago, Cook County.
