Reporting to the General Manager, AVS Probes, you will help define how a global, cross-functional organization plans, executes, and continuously improves. About the Role This is a highly visible leadership position at GE HealthCare, based across our global footprint spanning Australia, Canada, India, Singapore, the United Kingdom, and the United States. As Senior Director, Operations and Lean, you will sit on the AVS Probes leadership team and own the operating discipline that connects strategy to results in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Innovation, and People (SQDCI). You will champion a culture of accountability, collaboration, and relentless improvement across every site and function. Key Responsibilities Serve as a change agent who raises Lean maturity and operating discipline to lift SQDCI outcomes. Run the operating rhythm for the Probes organization alongside the General Manager, keeping escalations, decisions, and follow-through aligned to business priorities. Strengthen the flow from engineering to operations, improving manufacturability handoffs, operational readiness, and execution efficiency with supply chain partners. Help convert productivity (VCP) opportunities into structured problem-solving and sustained delivery, with Finance validating financial impact. Partner with Quality, QA/RA, installed base, supply chain, and engineering leaders to systematically resolve recurring operational issues. Deploy and coach Lean and Heartbeat practices—daily management, standard work, leader standard work, kaizen, VSM, visual management, and action tracking—across the global RDO network. Grow durable Lean capability by mentoring leaders, developing practitioners, and embedding repeatable operating mechanisms. Translate ambiguous, conflicting data into practical improvements across products, processes, services, and transactional workflows, and influence operating plans, budgets, and capacity trade-offs. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, Supply Chain, or a related discipline. Substantial experience in Lean, Lean-Agile, operations, manufacturing, or cross-functional business leadership. Proven success leading change in a complex global matrix and improving measurable performance. Hands-on mastery of Lean tools—VSM, kaizen, standard work, Kanban, problem solving, and visual management—including teaching and coaching them.
