About the Role

Working within a federally funded research and development center (FFRDC), you will contribute to secure solutions spanning satellite, launch, ground, and cyber domains that serve defense, civil, and commercial space programs. Key Responsibilities

• Design, assess, and strengthen the security posture of complex space and ground systems.
• Identify vulnerabilities and recommend practical, resilient mitigations across satellite, launch, ground, and cyber environments.
• Provide trusted technical guidance to national space programs as part of the FFRDC mission.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to embed security throughout the system lifecycle.
• Solve some of the toughest cybersecurity challenges facing defense, civil, and commercial space efforts.

Qualifications

• Proven, senior-level experience in cybersecurity engineering, ideally within mission-critical or government-aligned environments.
• Strong command of system security principles, threat assessment, and risk mitigation.
• Ability to thrive in a highly technical, collaborative setting and translate complex requirements into secure solutions.
• Eligibility to work on-site in El Segundo, Los Angeles County.
