Role overview (listing rewrite)

Espace is hiring a Senior Analyst, Deployable Structures to lead structural engineering and finite element analysis for deployable antenna systems at our Arlington, Texas headquarters. This full-time, on-site position delivers senior-level responsibility for structural performance analysis, advanced modeling, and direct collaboration with hardware development and testing teams. Position Summary You'll serve as the structural analysis lead for our Integrated Antenna Structure team, architecting and maintaining the finite element models that govern how our deployable antenna systems perform in the space environment. This senior individual contributor position requires deep expertise in structural mechanics, comfort navigating nonlinear analysis and large-displacement problems, and strong physical intuition about what finite element models can reliably predict—and their limitations—for deployable systems in spaceflight. Key Responsibilities Own development and maintenance of the finite element model for the deployed antenna assembly Conduct structural performance analysis and margin assessment across all load cases Execute dynamics and modal analysis to characterize system behavior in the space environment Flow requirements from spacecraft-level constraints down to component-level structural targets Partner with design and test teams, leveraging proximity to hardware to validate and refine models Who We're Looking For Senior-level expertise in structural analysis and finite element modeling Proven experience with nonlinear analysis, large-displacement problems, and modal dynamics Deep understanding of deployable or flexible structural systems in aerospace applications Strong physical intuition about structural mechanics, failure modes, and FEM limitations Comfortable owning technical decisions and working as an individual contributor Ability to work on-site in Arlington, Texas, with regular interaction with hardware and test activities Working at Espace We're developing low-Earth orbit satellite networks to deliver global IoT connectivity and sensing capabilities to remote and underserved regions. Our mission centers on making space-based communication and data collection universally accessible, reliable, and actionable. We emphasize technical rigor, environmental stewardship, and real-world impact. On-site presence in Arlington is the primary expectation; candidates with exceptional experience and California connections may explore alternate arrangements, though active engagement with hardware and test facilities remains essential to this role.
