This full-time position is open to candidates across Australia, Canada, India, Ireland, New Zealand, Singapore, the United Kingdom, and the United States. About the Role As a Senior Accountant, Technical Accounting & Financial Reporting at EDC, you will help produce accurate, on-time financial statements aligned with U.S. GAAP and SEC requirements, while acting as a go-to technical resource for non-routine accounting matters. The role works closely with teams across the business to safeguard the integrity, compliance, and transparency of our reporting and to advance strategic initiatives through sound technical analysis. Key Responsibilities Compile and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including footnotes and supporting schedules, under U.S. GAAP. Assist with consolidation work and the elimination of intercompany activity. Deliver timely, reliable reporting for external stakeholders. Investigate, evaluate, and document accounting positions for complex transactions such as debt instruments, revenue arrangements, leases, and derivatives. Draft technical accounting memos under U.S. GAAP to back audit and compliance needs. Assess how newly issued accounting standards (ASUs) affect the organization and support their rollout. Advise business partners on the accounting consequences of proposed transactions. Collaborate with FP&A, Treasury, Legal, Tax, and Operations to confirm correct treatment and reporting. Contribute to special projects, including debt activity, acquisitions, and system implementations. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (required). CPA license strongly preferred. 3–6+ years in public accounting (Big 4 preferred) and/or corporate financial reporting. Hands-on experience with SEC reporting and U.S. GAAP technical accounting (required). Solid command of U.S. GAAP reporting rules, financial statement preparation, and disclosures.
