Security Officer

About the Role

This is a safety-sensitive, non-exempt Security Officer position reporting directly to the Account Manager. The schedule runs from 4:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Sunday through Wednesday (alternating), with days off falling on alternating Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. All duties are performed on-site, with no supervisory responsibilities attached to the role.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible, professional security presence across the assigned facility.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and grounds to deter unauthorized access and prevent loss.
• Patrol the premises and observe for safety hazards, suspicious activity, or policy violations.
• Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, and alarms, escalating to the Account Manager when needed.
• Accurately document observations, activities, and incidents in clear written reports.
• Enforce site access procedures and verify the credentials of personnel and visitors.

Qualifications

• Eligibility to work in a designated safety-sensitive position.
• Reliable availability for the stated alternating shift schedule, including early morning start times.
• Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and a calm, level-headed response under pressure.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for accurate reporting.
• Ability to remain alert and perform physically active patrol duties throughout a 12-hour shift.
