Prime System Solutions is seeking a Security Analyst to join our team in a remote position supporting operations from our Johannesburg, South Africa base. In this full-time role, you will help protect our systems and data through proactive security monitoring, analysis, and incident response. Position Summary As a Security Analyst, you'll play a critical part in safeguarding Prime System Solutions' technical infrastructure and client assets. Working remotely from South Africa, you'll monitor security events, investigate potential threats, analyse system vulnerabilities, and support the development and implementation of security policies. This is an opportunity to contribute directly to our organisation's security posture whilst building expertise in a rapidly evolving field. Core Duties Monitor security systems, logs, and alerts to identify suspicious activity and potential security incidents Investigate security events and gather evidence to determine scope and impact of threats Analyse network traffic, system configurations, and access controls for vulnerabilities and misconfigurations Document findings and prepare reports on security incidents and risk assessments Assist with the implementation and maintenance of security tools and monitoring platforms Support compliance initiatives and security audits as required Collaborate with IT and systems teams to remediate identified security issues What We're Looking For Strong knowledge of network security, system security, and common security threats Experience with security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, or SIEM platforms Familiarity with security protocols and standards (ISO 27001, NIST, or equivalent) Solid understanding of operating systems (Windows, Linux) and networking concepts Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently in a remote environment Clear written and verbal communication abilities Relevant security certification (CompTIA Security+, CEH, or similar) is valued About Prime System Solutions Prime System Solutions delivers technology services to organisations across the region.
