Core Duties Design, implement, and continuously refine organization-wide safety management systems and protocols suited to remote oversight. Ensure ongoing compliance with applicable federal and state occupational safety regulations, including thorough documentation and proactive updates. Lead comprehensive risk assessments, workplace audits, and hazard identification efforts using virtual collaboration tools. Direct thorough investigations of incidents or near-misses, determine root causes, and develop corrective action plans that prevent recurrence. Create and deliver engaging safety training curricula for employees at all levels, measuring effectiveness and participation remotely. Establish and track key safety performance indicators, preparing clear reports and recommendations for senior leadership. Partner with cross-functional teams to embed safety considerations into daily decision-making and long-term planning. Champion a culture of accountability and awareness that reduces workplace risks and promotes well-being across distributed teams. Who We're Looking For Proven experience directing safety programs at a senior or leadership level, ideally with remote or multi-site coordination. Deep working knowledge of occupational safety standards, regulatory frameworks such as OSHA requirements, and best-practice frameworks. Strong analytical skills for evaluating risks, interpreting data, and translating findings into practical improvements. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities to influence stakeholders, deliver virtual training, and present to executives. Demonstrated capacity to lead change, mentor others, and build collaborative relationships in a fully remote environment. Relevant bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, industrial hygiene, environmental health, or a closely related discipline; professional certifications such as CSP are advantageous.
