A New Day is hiring a full-time Safe Home Supervisor in Albuquerque, Bernalillo County, to lead evening operations at a youth shelter and help create a steady, caring environment for young people who need it most.
About the Role
As the Safe Home Supervisor, you will direct shelter activities during weekday evening hours, partnering closely with the Program Manager to keep services running smoothly. You will be the on-site leader responsible for the wellbeing of youth ages 11 to 17, guiding staff and setting the tone for a safe, supportive space each evening in Albuquerque.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee evening operations of the youth shelter facility and ensure core services are consistently delivered.
- Supervise, coordinate, and support the evening team to maintain smooth day-to-day functioning.
- Monitor youth activities and respond to the needs of residents ages 11 to 17.
- Maintain a secure, welcoming, and supportive environment throughout the evening shift.
- Collaborate with the Program Manager to uphold program standards and continuity of care.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience, ideally within youth services, residential care, or a shelter setting.
- Comfort guiding staff and managing the flow of a busy evening shift.
- Strong judgment and a calm, dependable presence when supporting adolescents.
- Genuine commitment to the safety and dignity of young people ages 11 to 17.
- Availability to work weekday evening hours on a full-time basis in Albuquerque, Bernalillo County.
