Responsibilities
- Defines the structure and relationship among solutions, including the identification of re-usable components, quality level metrics, the organization and layering of software, and the determination of interfaces.
- Responsibilities also include developing, implementing and managing solutions in a large and distributed environment, monitor the whole system, understand all interactions between components on a given level of abstraction, as well as to define limitations and requirements for source code.
- Defines the interactions between application packages, databases and middleware systems.
- Develops enterprise architecture deliverables and documentation.
Skills Experience and Skill Set Requirements
Technology Architecture Experience
· Defines, identifies and describes technical and information architectural requirements with clients, and obtains I&IT management approval.
· Develops and obtains approval for detailed plans and resource estimates for large-scale and complex architecture projects and/or components of other projects with architecture elements.
· Ability to complete complex technology and information architecture reviews and assessments, to support projects, new and changed enterprise priorities and initiatives, and client clusters and their clients information architecture and/or business needs.
· Researches, develops, implements and maintains technology and information architectural policies and standards, as approved by management.
· Ensures integration with related corporate and client cluster policies and standards, and incorporation of best practices in the industry.
· Provides general and situation-specific architecture interpretation advice and expertise to other project and/or enterprise level I&IT project teams, client management and staff, cluster clients, and external contractors.
· Leads and or/participates in highly sensitive technology and information architecture investigations.
· Develops solution and technology architecture specifications for RFBs and participates in assessing bids and negotiating contracts/SLAs with service providers and vendors.
· Demonstrated experience developing checkpoint deliverables and creating necessary artefacts for checkpoints.
· Knowledge and experience creating architecture artefacts such as logical and information data models.
· Knowledge and experience creating business architecture documentation.
· Knowledge and experience creating solution architecture documentation.
· Knowledge and experience creating information architecture documentation.
· Extensive knowledge in security and privacy requirements as they relate to technology architecture and data elements.

Technical Skills and Experience
· Experience with Computer Aided Software Engineering (CASE) tools or solution architecture modeling tools.
· Knowledge and understanding of Information Management principles, concepts, policies and practices.
· Knowledge and understanding of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA) and related regulations and standards.
