About the Role

As a Roadway Designer, you'll work directly alongside a project manager to analyze and develop the civil engineering elements of land development projects. From early calculations through finished plan sets, you'll play a hands-on part in moving designs from concept to construction-ready documentation across a variety of site and roadway projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and design the civil engineering components of land development projects under the direct guidance of a project manager.
• Prepare supporting design calculations, technical reports, and permit application materials.
• Develop complete plan sets covering storm drainage, sanitary sewer mains, and stormwater control facilities.
• Design pressure networks, along with mass and fine grading layouts.
• Produce sediment and erosion control plans that meet regulatory standards.
• Lay out and detail roadway designs as part of integrated site development packages.
• Generate finalized plans suitable for permitting and construction.

Qualifications

• Background in civil engineering or a related discipline, with a focus on land development.
• Working knowledge of storm drainage, sanitary sewer, stormwater management, grading, and roadway design principles.
• Familiarity with preparing design calculations, technical reports, and permit submissions.
• Ability to produce accurate, code-compliant plan sets and final construction documents.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to collaborate effectively under a project manager's direction.
